Welcome to Sharecast Initiative Nepal, a leading new media institution dedicated to enhancing media innovation, capacity building, and data-driven decision-making in Nepal. Our mission is to drive excellence in the field by providing cutting-edge research and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
Sharecast leverages quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, focusing on audience data and opinion polls, to gain deep insights into user preferences, media content audiences, and public opinion. Our expertise enables us to offer actionable insights for effective decision-making across government and non-government sectors.
Over the years, Sharecast has conducted numerous impactful studies, including The National Media Survey, the National Opinion Polls on Democracy, socio-economic-political issues, perception and Satisfaction Surveys, and Telephone Surveys. Our commitment to providing accurate data and innovative content has established us as a trusted partner for organizations seeking evidence-based solutions.
Collaboration lies at the heart of our approach. We work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including UN agencies, INGOs, government bodies, media outlets, and the private sector. We bring diverse perspectives, resources, and expertise together through these partnerships to deliver comprehensive, concrete recommendations for policy-making and decision-making processes.
Under the guidance of our five-member executive board, Sharecast operates with a dedicated team of professionals, including our esteemed co-founder and Chairperson, Madhu Acharya, serving as the Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Bhumiraj Chapagain, our Program Director. Our team’s qualifications and experience ensure that we deliver research assignments with excellence and integrity.
With our expertise in research, field team management, and data analysis, we can handle large-scale survey projects and provide reliable and comprehensive datasets. Sharecast is actively involved in the Child and Family Tracker initiative, a large-scale phone-based survey conducted in collaboration with UNICEF to track the socio-economic multi-sectoral impact of COVID-19 on children and families in Nepal.
Our National Opinion Poll series also strengthens democracy by publicly sharing survey findings on public perception and satisfaction regarding critical government service deliveries. We also collaborate with elected local governments for local opinion polls, empowering communities to participate in planning and development processes.
At Sharecast Initiative Nepal, we are committed to generating high-quality research, fostering collaboration, and making a positive impact through data-driven decision-making.
