Sharecast Initiative Nepal is proud to be a part of UNICEF’s initiative to track the socio-economic impact of COVID-19 on children and families in Nepal (COVID-19 child and family tracker). By collecting and analyzing data from various parts of Nepal, the CFT Survey plays a crucial role in tracking the socio-economic and multi-sectoral impact of COVID-19 on children and families in Nepal.
As part of this initiative, Sharecast is working closely with UNICEF to help document shifts and the adverse effects on Nepal’s health, education, and overall well-being of children and families due to COVID-19. Furthermore, this data helps improve decision-making at the national and local levels through evidence-based plans and policies that alleviate the threats posed by COVID-19 on vulnerable children and families.
To support UNICEF’s mission of mitigating the adverse effects of COVID-19 on children and families in Nepal, Sharecast Initiative Nepal has implemented a real-time data collection mechanism using a digital medium. Moreover, this enables us to collect and analyze data more frequently, which is critical in understanding the evolving impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable communities. Our digital data collection system is designed to capture real-time insights on numerous issues, including health, education, and socio-economic challenges, allowing us to respond quickly and effectively to emerging needs.
Through our participation in and contribution to UNICEF’s COVID-19 child and family tracker, Sharecast Initiative Nepal is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families facing significant socio-economic challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
