Sharecast Recently conducted a comprehensive national survey on pressing social, economic, and political issues, gathering insights from nearly 3,000 citizens through face-to-face interviews across all seven provinces of Nepal. Here’s how the survey was meticulously carried out:
✅ Respondent Selection:
Participants were chosen proportionally based on population distribution in rural, urban, and metropolitan areas, ensuring a representative sample.
✅ Sampling Process:
- 52 districts covering 196 municipalities and 214 wards were selected using the Probability Proportion to Size (PPS) method.
- Random sampling and the “Right-Hand Rule” were used to select households, and the Kish Grid method determined the interviewees.
✅ Survey Execution:
- Timeline: Conducted from Mangsir 16 to Poush 27.
- Interview Team: 28 trained enumerators working in pairs, ensuring high-quality data collection.
- Margin of Error: ±5%.
- Tools: Interviews and responses were recorded digitally using ONA software on mobile devices.
✅ Quality Assurance:
To maintain data integrity, we implemented robust measures, including field observation, retraining, and re-verification of approximately 15% of interviews.
Our findings have sparked widespread discussion and have been featured across several major media outlets. 📣
